Verre Eglomise/Reverse Leaf/Gilded glass are all one and the same. Each term refers to Verre Eglomise, is French for ‘glass gilded’ and is a process where the reverse side of a piece of glass is gilded with gold or silver leaf using a gelatin adhesive. The result is a mirror-like, semi-reflective surface that creates a shimmery, reflective work of art.
