Art Services Operations Assistant

We are looking for a motivated, results oriented individual to serve as our Art Services Operations Assistant. (Chicagoland area)

The successful candidate will have experience in the custom picture framing/art services industry.  They will have an entrepreneurial mindset and will be expected to oversee logistical transport of our product and supplies, work with staff to facilitate production and manage special projects for company expansion. We are looking for the candidate to be an open-minded, detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys working with others in the development of our brands while improving our customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Report to a Senior Executive to facilitate the ongoing day-to-day operations and special projects to aid in company expansion
  • Manage building operations including maintenance, cleaning, daily up-keep and other building logistics
  • Oversee the scheduling and logistics of completed projects and supplies
  • Help facilitate recruitment, hiring and onboarding of staff
  • Update best practices for safety protocols
  • Execute processes and procedures to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of organization functions

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Background in custom picture framing is a must
  • Installation and light construction 
  • Excel, and Microsoft Suite

Additional Details:

Conservation Framer

We are looking for an experienced conservation framer to join our framing department. The candidate should be well versed in museum quality archival framing techniques. 

The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and have the ability to:

  • Archival hinge, and museum quality mount/assembly
  • Cut custom mats and glazing
  • Stretch canvas and linen
  • Sew mount

Must have knowledge about handling a variety of artist and framing materials and enjoy creative challenges and problem solving. High attention to detail is a must.  Desire to learn new techniques. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment with a mind set to meet deadlines.

We are looking for a Custom Framing Sales associate to join our showroom team in Lincoln Park.

The position would include:

  • assisting with day-to-day operations, answering phones, maintaining the showroom, pricing inventory, working with vendors, etc
  • working with customers in the showroom and designing/pricing frames
  • assist consultants with larger corporate projects
  • artwork condition documentation and packing
  • assist with vintage frame and contemporary print sales

Maintaining an organized schedule for showroom and offsite client appointments.  Working with private clients, interior designers and collection managers to design and price museum quality frames and custom silvered mirrors. Client centric customer service, collaboration with team members and deadline driven project management is also a large part of this position.

We are looking for a Digital Content Strategist to join our team.

The role involves creating content for social media, blogs, Google ads, website updates, email campaigns, as well as carrying out marketing strategies and tracking analytics.

The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for the fine art industry, will be able to photograph and write content for social media and blogs, generate content for SEO, and enjoy developing followers on social media. Office location is 840 N. Milwaukee, Chicago.

Responsibilities include:

  • Website content creation

Business Development / Art Consultant

We are seeking a Business Development/Art Consultant to join our expanding corporate sales division.  We are looking for energetic, solutions-oriented candidates that enjoy working with clients and colleagues in curating, sourcing, framing, and displaying artwork to ideally complement our healthcare, corporate and hospitality clientele’s environments. Through our Arlington Heights and Nashville offices, we have a national reach with ongoing simultaneous projects coast to coast.

This position has the potential to move into a Senior Management role, and even more beyond that, so this person must have the desire and ability to go above and beyond in all aspects.

Ideal candidates that join their team must be interested in managing all aspects of the design process from conceptual design through installation. Members of their team will have the opportunity to work on Mixed-Use, Multifamily, Senior Housing, Hospitality, Workplace, Commercial, Healthcare, Education and Adaptive Reuse Developments.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • assists in preparations of successful proposals and presentations
  • create and manage staff schedules and workflow
  • manage project schedules and budgets while maintaining client goodwill
  • meet with clients, vendors, consultants and contractors to facilitate design goals as well as determine methods of achieving successful implementation of plans.
  • manage production of design and construction drawings, including review and mark-ups of documentation-manage FF&E process for the projects. Review specifications and work with furniture dealer(s) to ensure bids meet the client’s budget and timeline.
  • make site visits to review existing conditions and coordinate with contractors

Position Requirements:

  • preferred experience of 5+ years working in the field, experience in a diversity of project types is preferred. 
  • thorough knowledge and working experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Google Sketch-up, and Photoshop, InDesign is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Interior Design program.
  • NCIDQ certification is encouraged, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, take initiative and be proactive
  • willingness to be flexible and manage multiple responsibilities
