Art Services Operations Assistant

We are looking for a motivated, results-oriented individual to serve as our Art Services Operations Assistant (Chicagoland area).

The successful candidate will have experience in the custom picture framing/art services industry.  They will have an entrepreneurial mindset and will be expected to oversee logistical transport of our product and supplies, work with staff to facilitate production, and manage special projects for company expansion. We are looking for the candidate to be an open-minded, detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys working with others in the development of our brands while improving our customer experience.

Artmill Group is composed of a collection of specialty art service companies that provide services including sourcing original and reproduction art, custom framing, hand carving, gilding, custom mounting, custom silvered mirrors, wall graphics and murals, fine art, antique and furniture restoration, and installation. Our expansive portfolio of services provides the perfect palette for our client services and sales team to seamlessly manage projects for our clients from start to finish. Responsibilities include:

  • Report to a Senior Executive to facilitate the ongoing day-to-day operations and special projects to aid in company expansion
  • Manage building operations including maintenance, cleaning, daily upkeep, and other building logistics
  • Oversee the scheduling and logistics of completed projects and supplies
  • Help facilitate recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of staff
  • Update best practices for safety protocols
  • Execute processes and procedures to help improve the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational functions

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Background in custom picture framing is a must
  • Installation and light construction
  • Excel, and Microsoft Suite
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive a panel van and box truck
  • Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing startup environment
  • Must have the ability to accurately track and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must have the ability to think about problems and be creative in thinking about solutions as well as resolute in their implementation
  • Understands the value of effective systems and flows to maximize value delivery for client and the company
  • Great and natural proactive communication
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
    Motivated, ability to flourish with minimal guidance

Additional Details:

  • This is a full-time position, a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Compensation is based on experience
    Some flexible hours are available
